Art to awaken the senses

Amàre Art is a cultural concept that turns the hotel into an “arty” space that connects with guests and stimulates their aesthetic sense.

Pamper your senses, nurture harmony and beauty and turn your stay into a sensory experience that caresses the soul. This is the mission of the artists that use our facilities as a canvas, with unique art exhibitions that come to life on the building’s architecture.

Amàre Art integrates art into the hotel and offers guests and local residents and unique exhibition space. Photography, fashion, design, sculpture, video art and painting find a space at Amàre for interacting with those who enjoy original and transgressive creations.

A stroll through the corridors and stairways or a ride in a lift become an all-encompassing experience of art in Marbella that awakens the senses. Go ahead, it’s much better when experienced first-hand.

Caroline Wendelin

Amàre Beach Hotel Marbella

This Marbella-based Finnish artist uses several techniques in her work, such as painting and digital photography, which she combines with other more traditional techniques such as inks and watercolours, applied using digital tools. This amalgam of procedures means that Caroline use everything from digital prints on acrylic glass to canvases in her different series.

Furthermore, her long career as a model in New York has given her the opportunity to work for major brands such as L’Oreal and prestigious magazines such as Vogue.

This has a great influence on the artist when it comes to creating her works, and has given her great prestige.

In fact, photography and the female body are major features in her work, in which she often mixes abstract subject matters with realism.

This is how Caroline uses new digital media to explore the search for identity, by defining the ways in which we interact socially and our collective mentalities.

Alejandro Hermann

Amàre Beach Hotel Ibiza

To experience the paintings of Alejandro Hermann, discover his artistic talent and exceptional style, you have to delve in to the force and beauty that they transmit. One of the fundamental characteristics of Alejandro’s work, and the key to his success, is the psychological representation of characters, their mood and spiritual condition.

In his own words, Alejandro is a simple man who struggles to be in peace and harmony with himself and his art. Born in Argentina and now residing in Marbella for over a decade, the artist defines his work as a mixture of expressionism, realism and spiritual dreaminess.

Alejandro Hermann - I Love
Alberto Hermann

An admirer of Leonardo da Vinci, Alejandro draws inspiration from the great Renaissance genius by using the chiaroscuro technique in his paintings. This delicate transition from light to shadow involves blending lighter shades with other darker ones.

On the canvas the artist uses different materials such as coloured fabric, wood, leafs, paper, stones and coins. This innovative use of resources provides certain plasticity and augments the compact appearance of the characters.

Old exhibitions

PAULA VICENTI EXHIBITION

The recent work of Paula Vincenti is a retro-chic juxtaposition of ideas, an eclectic puzzle of geometries and a figuration nearly baroque, with a twist that create a strident, acidic and sparkling language that converge on the surface in a harmonic and sophisticated way, in order to unravel and try to understand aspects of our current society and contemporary times. The artist resorts to compositions with an aesthetic that work as a “visual punch” of excessive rhetorical preciosity, with feminine figures in a suggestive and superficial attitude that wander in bewildering scenarios. The artist makes self-criticism and reflects on the excesses of a society that is increasingly alienated.

ANNE SCHELLBERG EXHIBITION

Anne Schellberg’s creations transmit staggering sensitivity and have a common purpose: to tell stories. Destroyed dreams, lost hope and broken identities are all expressed in her art, which also interweaves the past, present and future. All of this is transposed into the intensity in the expressions of her characters, who she characterises with her emblematic technique of strategic blots and intentional stains.
